New Students: Housing and Furnishing

After a long day of classes, there’s nothing quite like going back to a home where you are happy and comfortable. Here is some helpful information to ensure that happens.

Columbia University’s Off-Campus Housing

Columbia’s off-campus housing assistance (OCHA) website is a great resource to find a sublet or a full lease in official CU apartments as well as apartments shared by other CU students. Whether you’re looking for a studio or an apartment to share with friends, right by CUMC or CU’s main campus, this website can help. Some have fees, but many are free of fees. And the apartments can be accessed by CU affiliates only, which provides a level of security. If you need a place or are looking to sublet your place, check out this site!

This area has the easiest commute, but the OCHA site covers all the boroughs.
